In modern educational environments, every classroom has a unique “acoustic fingerprint.” Walls, furniture, and room size all impact how sound travels. S-Track Lark Room Acoustic Calibration eliminates the guesswork, automatically optimizing your audio system to match both the speaker’s voice and the specific classroom environment.
Standard audio setups often suffer from “howling” (feedback), muffled speech, or uneven volume. Our intelligent calibration technology performs a “CT Scan” of your classroom’s acoustics to ensure every student hears a natural, crystal-clear voice without the distraction of audio interference.
The Lark system uses a sophisticated 4-step process to map and optimize your audio environment in seconds:
The system plays a logarithmic sweep signal ranging from 20Hz to 20kHz. By moving continuously from low to high frequencies, the Lark performs a precise “CT Scan” of the entire audio chain—including the DAC, power amplifier, speakers, air transmission, and room reflections. This captures the complete “response fingerprint” of the environment.
Using the data from the sweep, the system identifies how the room’s architecture affects sound. It detects resonance points and reflective surfaces that typically cause echo or muddiness.
The calibration intelligently identifies the specific frequencies prone to feedback (howling). It proactively notches out these problem frequencies, allowing for higher volume levels and clearer speech without the risk of ear-piercing shrieks.
Finally, the system adapts the output to the speaker. By balancing the room’s acoustics with the microphone’s pickup, it ensures the teacher’s voice sounds natural and effortless, reducing vocal fatigue and improving student comprehension.
